Ideally, an infrared body wrap will be particularly beneficial for those who follow a balanced exercise and diet program.
Active individuals can expect to reduce their figure by at least one size in 6 to 10 infrared body wrap sessions spaced 2 to 3 days apart.
People with a very sedentary lifestyle can still achieve excellent results, but this will require a longer period of time. Again, it is essential that they manage their exercise and dietary habits to achieve the desired results.
If a person is very physically active and does a lot of walking, jogging, weight training, or competitive sports, infrared heat therapy can be used every other day. For best results, it is best to use it just before a workout, as this allows for maximum calorie burn and optimized body definition. For relatively inactive individuals, an interval of at least three days between sessions is recommended. More regular sessions are unnecessary and may even hinder results. Once the desired body shape is achieved, it is possible to return to a maintenance program, which, for most people, should be 2 to 4 sessions per month.
Infrared heat therapy can be beneficial for almost everyone, regardless of their social background. However, sessions should only be undertaken after medical advice in the event of any of the following conditions: hyperthyroidism, myocardial infarction, cardiac weakness, constriction of the coronary vessels, high or low blood pressure, diabetes requiring insulin treatment, impaired kidney and associated organ function, fever, severe general infection, contact allergies, skin conditions, open wounds, recent shingles, pregnancy, prescription medications that increase sensitivity to physical stimulation (e.g., antibiotics), or severe varicose veins.
